Most freelancers using Toptal freelancing platform that have shared their experiences with me will tell you that it takes them some times before they can easily secure any task. In fact, majority of them will tell you that they have spent more than months before they were able to secure their first clients. Some have attributed the issue to the fact that the platform doesn't have many clients. Others may say it is because the platform is new and many people are not really there.

When I got started with freelancing it took me 45 days before I could land my first project. I have done series of things before I could be able to land my first project which include sending out several proposals and information to the prospect. One thing I want you to know is that the time varies from one person to another.
