It is better if you notice that your clients don't want to pay. Immediately you notice this, make sure that you remind him by sending him a reminder. Doing this will make it easier for you to know if actually they really want to pay. If you notice that he doesn't want to pay, there is no need of continuing with the tasks. Stop it. You can only continue when he reaches out to you with the payment
