Should I offer discounts to clients who sign long-term (6+ months) contracts?

There is nothing bad in this. You can just offer them discount like 5 to 10 percent. This will make it easier for them to continue patronizing you. And they can even refer their other friends. Freelancers need to be doing some sacrifices in order to make sure that they are retaining those clients that have visions with them. I will be glad if others have something to say about this. They should do it in the comment section.

Your own is to give the client the duration it is going to take to execute the project it is up to the clients to accept it or not. When the client accept your offer then you guys can decide it to go on a contract by signing documents. But client is still the decider in this case
