Must I ask for rating or I should let the clients decide?

There are sometimes that the clients are the ones that do give rating on their own volition without being asked. In fact, there are some freelancers that don't like being asked. However, in some instances, there are some freelancers that do ask the clients clearly. They don't see anything wrong with asking. They believe that they can ask the freelancers for the rating if there is a need to do that. What do you think about this?

Asking for a rating is fine if you did a great job. Many buyers are busy and might forget to leave feedback even if they liked your service. A polite message reminds them to share their thoughts. It is a normal part of building a good reputation on the platform.
