Ask Is running a PPV traffic ad on Instagram effective in driving visits to a profile?

What's the most effective marketing objective to drive visits to an IG profile. Running a traffic Ad on IG?

Also is there any way to send traffic to the profile within the app, without deep linking? If no what are the alternatives to URLGenius?

If you tag your own account in the caption does that get linked to the IG profile within the app?

I am asking all this because I am challenging myself to grow a brand new IG account to 100k followers in 90 days using paid traffic.

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Also, any caveats so prevent the ad account getting disabled? Never run a campaign like this before so would love to get as much info as possible

From my experience, Instagram PPV ads do bring traffic, but not always consistent visits. Some people click out of curiosity, but don't stay on your profile unless your content is engaging. Ads with strong visuals and a clear reason to visit your profile work much better. Also, targeting the right audience is important.
