I think this happens more than we admit. When a shop says only a few pieces are left or a deal ends tonight, something in the mind pushes us to act instead of waiting. Nobody wants to miss out on something good. But I have also seen this used too much, until buyers stop trusting it. When every single day feels urgent, the urgency stops meaning anything. Do you think this way of selling still works as well as it used to?
