It is not uncommon seeing freelancers giving their first time clients some preferential treatments. They sometimes give them discount, intentionally do scope creep for them and other things. The main motive is to retain them or to get referral from them. While some people believe that this is not that necessary, others believe that it is normal as at least for the clients to feel at home and wish to come again. What's your side about it.
