It is not really a must but there is nothing bad in it. Sometimes clients may be preoccupied by other things which may prevent them from not reaching out back to the freelancers on time. In this scenario, reaching out to the clients to get the best out of them is possible and advisable. However, while doing this, you need to make sure that you are not over doing it. Over doing it may make it seem you are disturbing the clients.

It is not a month for you to follow up on them regularly as a freelancer. But it is good to check on them once in a while to see if they are still going to patronize your service again. Most important thing is that you need to constantly rich out in attract a new prospect for your business to keep the cash flowing
