Freelancers and clients relationship is not really a must. You need to make sure that you understand the concept before you go into it. In fact, if there is no benefit that you are aiming at gaining, you don't need to enter into it. There are some clients that are not meant to enter into alliance with. They always want to cheat their freelancers with scope creep. Make sure you weigh the pro and con before joining any alliance with clients.
