Ask If you could see a client's review history before accepting their project, would it change how you work?

I always think that knowing a person before you start working with them makes everything easier for everyone involved. Freelancers often go into new projects without knowing if the person hiring them is actually good at giving clear instructions or paying on time. If we could see how they treated others in the past, it would help us avoid people who cause too much stress. Do you think having access to a client's history would make you more careful about which jobs you choose to accept?
