Choosing who to work with is the most important part of staying happy as a freelancer. If I had to limit myself to just three people or companies for a whole year, I would focus on long term stability and shared values. It would be a huge risk because losing even one would mean losing a third of my total income for that year. I would look for clients who pay well on time and communicate very clearly.
