You can choose the projects you enjoy, decide who you want to work with, and often have a more flexible schedule. At the same time, I would remind them that freelancing requires discipline because you are responsible for finding clients, meeting deadlines, and managing your own income.

If a friend asked me, I would say freelancing is a good choice for someone who enjoys independence and wants to build their own career. It can be very rewarding because your income can grow as your skills and reputation improve. However, I would also explain that there may be slow periods, so it is important to be prepared for both the opportunities and the challenges.
