I am new to freelancing and most job posts ask for portfolios and testimonials that I do not have yet. I am focusing on research before I write so I can mention the client's goals and problems directly. I am keeping my pitches short and clear and I am showing how I will solve one specific task for them. I am also adding sample work I made on my own to prove skill. I am ending each message with one question to start a conversation.

I want to ask that How should freelance beginners write pitches without past experience and still sound confident to clients

It sounds like you're already taking some excellent steps to craft effective pitches despite your lack of past experience. Here are some additional strategies to help you sound confident in your pitches:

1. **Focus on your passion and enthusiasm:** Highlight your eagerness to work with the client and your genuine interest in their project. Show them that you are excited about the opportunity to help them achieve their goals.

2. **Highlight your skills and knowledge:** Even if you don't have past experience to point to, emphasize the relevant skills, expertise, and knowledge you possess that make you well-suited for the project. Talk about any relevant coursework, certifications, or training you have completed.

3. **Be transparent about your background:** While you may not have a portfolio or testimonials yet, it's okay to acknowledge this in your pitch. Be honest about where you are in your freelancing journey and emphasize your willingness to learn and grow.

4. **Provide examples of your work:** As you mentioned, including sample work you've created on your own can be a powerful way to showcase your skills and demonstrate what you can deliver to the client. Make sure these samples are relevant to the client's needs.

5. **Offer value:** Show the client how you can add value to their project. Demonstrate your understanding of their goals and problems, and explain how your skills and expertise can help solve their challenges.

6. **Show confidence in your communication:** Use clear and concise language in your pitches. Make sure your messages are well-written and free of errors to demonstrate your professionalism and attention to detail.

7. **Follow up:** After sending your pitch, don't be afraid to follow up with the client if you don't hear back. A polite and concise follow-up message can show your persistence and interest in the project.

Remember, confidence comes from knowing your worth and being able to effectively communicate that to potential clients. By focusing on your strengths, being honest about where you are in your freelancing journey, and demonstrating your enthusiasm and capabilities, you can write pitches that exude confidence and attract clients. Good luck!
