I recently got curious about how ad placement affects engagement, so I decided to experiment with my display ads. I moved them around different spots on a few websites top banners, sidebars, even inside content areas. Each placement seemed to tell its own story through the engagement stats.

Watching the clicks and views change depending on where the ads appeared was pretty eye-opening.
