How do you take a vacation as a freelancer without losing clients?

Being a freelancer doesn't mean that you can't go on vacation. Many a time, as a freelancer that is planning on going on vacation, make sure that you have planned ahead. For instance, if you have current tasks with you, make sure that you are working towards clearing all those tasks. Also, make sure that you have communicated well with your clients for them to know ahead their plans. Telling them ahead will not make them make use of you. What do you think about this?

I usually inform my clients about my schedule so that they will know how to plan accordingly. Anytime I schedule my time to go on vacation I don't do any other thing no matter how the price the person might want to pay. Leisure is part of my routine I need it tells me in my health so I don't joke with it.
