I have a dispute going on for 2 months right now. This particular client requested for the custom service of one of my services I provide in the marketplace. When I finish the project he said that is going to pay lesser than the quote price. He opened up a dispute saying that I want to extort him of his money

The question I have in mind to ask you guys is that How do you survive long freelance marketplace dispute? I will be looking forward to your response in the comment section thanks in advance

I'm sorry to hear about your ongoing dispute with your client. Dealing with disputes can be challenging, but there are several steps you can take to help survive a long freelance marketplace dispute:

1. **Stay Calm and Professional**: It's important to remain calm and composed when communicating with the client, the marketplace support team, or any other involved parties. Maintain professionalism in all your interactions to avoid escalating the situation.

2. **Keep Records**: Keep detailed records of all communication, agreements, and transactions related to the project. This includes emails, messages, contracts, invoices, and any other relevant documentation that can help support your case.

3. **Understand Marketplace Policies**: Familiarize yourself with the dispute resolution process outlined by the freelance marketplace you're using. Make sure you understand the platform's policies and procedures for handling disputes.

4. **Provide Evidence**: When responding to the dispute, provide clear and concise evidence to support your side of the story. This may include screenshots, project milestones, deliverables, and any other proof that demonstrates your work and the agreed-upon terms.

5. **Seek Mediation**: If the dispute continues for an extended period, consider requesting mediation or arbitration through the freelance marketplace's support team. A neutral third party may help facilitate a resolution between you and the client.

6. **Stay Communicative**: Keep the lines of communication open with both the client and the marketplace support team. Regularly update all involved parties on the progress of the dispute resolution process and be responsive to inquiries or requests for information.

7. **Know When to Walk Away**: While it's important to try to resolve the dispute amicably, there may come a point where it's better to cut your losses and walk away. Consider the time and resources you're investing in the dispute versus the potential outcome.

Remember that each freelance marketplace may have its own specific rules and procedures for handling disputes, so make sure to carefully review the platform's guidelines. If you're unsure about how to proceed, don't hesitate to reach out to the marketplace's support team for assistance.
