Pricing is one of the most confusing parts of starting a freelancing career because there is no single right answer and the stakes feel high either way. Charge too little and you attract the wrong kind of clients or make yourself look inexperienced. Charge too much and nobody responds to your proposals when you have nothing to show for your work yet. I am curious how new freelancers figured out where to start with their rates and whether they based it on research, what others charged, or just trial and error.
