How do you know when it’s time to stop freelancing and build something bigger?

Freelancers should make sure that they are working towards getting better opportunities in case anything happens to being into freelancing. That's why it is better for a freelancer to be working towards planning towards when he will stop to embark on other things that he can be doing. Some people can just build on the skills that they have learnt on freelancing to set up another business that they can be promoting. What do you think about this?

I will definitely going to stop when I have something meaningful build out of the income I make from freelance. Gradually I am setting aside a portion of the income I made from freelancing to buy assets or to build one that will be bringing me passive income consistently.
