Ask How do you handle feedback from a client who is clearly unhappy but not specific about why?

Sometimes you finish a project and the client tells you that they do not like it at all. The problem is that they cannot explain what is wrong or what you should change to make it better. This situation is very frustrating because you want to fix the work but you do not have any clear directions to follow. I think asking the right questions is the only way to solve this. How do you deal with a client who gives very vague complaints?
