Some clients are now asking freelancers to provide a lot of data or writing just to teach their own machines how to work. This feels like you are teaching your own replacement how to do your job so that the company will not need to hire you again. It is a very strange position to be in because you need the money now but you also want a future. Would you agree to do this kind of work if the pay was good?
