Getting paid in company stock instead of cash sounds exciting until you remember stock can lose all its value overnight, especially if the company is still new and unproven. Some freelancers accept a mix of stock and cash to reduce risk, while others refuse and ask for their full fee upfront. It depends on how much you trust the business and its future. Would you ever accept stock as payment, or is cash always the safer choice for you?

I simply tell the client no that I cannot accept it such a payment. The reason why I started doing freelance business is to start receiving money for this service I offered marketplace. I don't want to prospect of their company so there is no need for me to accept their payment in form of stock
