Starting fresh on a big site is hard because clients usually look for people who already have many five star reviews. When your profile shows zero dollars earned, it feels almost impossible to convince someone to trust you with their important project. You have the skills, but you do not have the proof on your page yet. I want to know how others started from the bottom. What did you do to get that very first job when your profile was empty?
