Ask How do you respond to Upwork invitations from clients with no hire history?

When a client invites you to a job on Upwork, you can see if they have paid other workers before. Many new clients join the site every day and they have no record yet. Some freelancers are afraid of working with them because they are not sure if the client is real or serious. I believe every client has to start from somewhere so I usually give them a chance. How do you handle these invitations? Do you ask for specific details to make sure they are safe?
