That means first understanding the business goal clearly whether it's sales, leads, or awareness and then shaping every campaign, message, and platform choice around that outcome. If marketing doesn't follow direction, it becomes random activity instead of focused growth. The best results come when marketing decisions are constantly tied back to business priorities, so every effort is working toward the same end goal.
 
I think the first step is to clearly understand what the business wants to achieve. If the goal is more sales, then marketing should focus on generating leads and conversions. If the goal is brand awareness, then reach and engagement become more important. I have seen many businesses run marketing campaigns without connecting them to their actual goals.

For example, if a company wants to increase revenue by 20%, the marketing plan should include specific actions that can help reach that target. I think setting clear metrics and tracking progress regularly is very important.
