I want to start freelancing for international clients, but I don't know how to find them. I don't have any connections outside my country, and most platforms seem very competitive. Do I need a portfolio, or can I start without one?

Also, how do I make sure clients trust me since I have no international experience? Should I charge lower rates at first, or is that a bad idea?
