Ask How can you use surveys to improve a membership site?

I want to make my membership site better but I don't know what my members really want. I've heard that surveys can help, but I'm not sure how to use them. What kind of questions should I ask? How often should I send them? I don't want to annoy my members or make the surveys too long. Should I offer rewards to get more responses? I also want to make sure I use the feedback in the right way. If you've used surveys before, how can they improve a membership site?
