I know testimonials can help me get more freelance clients, but I struggle to ask for them. I don't want to sound desperate or make clients uncomfortable. Some clients seem happy with my work, but they never offer feedback unless I ask.

Should I wait until the project ends or ask while we are working together? Would offering a small discount or bonus make them more likely to leave a review? I also wonder if a short template would make it easier for them.

I just want to collect good testimonials without being too pushy.

How can I ask freelance clients for testimonials without sounding desperate?
