There are some bloggers that always target on one day traffic. Those bloggers always focus on an event that will not last more than a day. For instance, in my country, there are some bloggers that may post about a particular exam that may want to take place on that very day. Undoubtedly, students will focus on the site for day.

Have you utilised such a situation before? Is it a strategy that you can advice bloggers, especially new one to venture into?

One thing I've seen is that one day traffic works best when tied with trending searches. If the blogger understands timing and posts early, the result can be good for that day. But it's risky because it depends on something outside your control. Many new bloggers chase it but get tired because they must post trending content every single day. I think it's better as a side strategy, not the main one, so your blog can grow in a more steady way..

Using a day-traffic strategy can be a smart move, but it needs to be applied carefully. Targeting events, trends, or time-sensitive topics can create urgency and bring a lot of visitors to your site in a short period. This can be especially useful for new bloggers who want to gain visibility quickly or test what content resonates with their audience. However, relying solely on this approach is risky because once the event or trend passes, the traffic drops, and those visitors may not return.

For bloggers starting out, it's best to use day-traffic posts strategically to capture attention, while also creating evergreen content that remains valuable over time. Evergreen posts, such as guides, tips, or educational content, continue to attract readers consistently, helping to build a loyal audience. Combining both approaches short-term spikes from trending topics and long-term growth from evergreen content creates a more balanced and sustainable strategy for growing a blog.
