Finding jobs on Upwork these days feels different from before, since so many freelancers are joining from different countries and applying for the same small number of jobs every single day. Clients now have too many options to choose from, so they can afford to be picky about who they hire for even simple tasks. This makes new freelancers struggle to land their first job. Has Upwork really made finding freelance work much more competitive than it used to be?

I think freelances more competitive already than ever before and the reason is that more people are joining it on daily basis. The number of freelance in each niche is more than a lot to the extent that if you post a job under 5 minutes you are going to receive close to 100 proposal from different freelance in the market space
