Does a beginner need a laptop to start freelancing, or is a smartphone enough?

I don't know whether you know this or not. But a freelancer doesn't really need any laptop before they can do their freelancing. They don't have to go through a lot of getting a laptop first. They can start with their phones and go for a laptop later if there is a need to. Many people don't really see a need for the freelancers to have a laptop except the tasks require that they use a laptop.
