Children often notice when a parent spends a lot of time on the computer, especially with affiliate marketing where tasks include writing content, checking dashboards, and managing product links. Some parents explain their work in simple terms, like saying they help people find products online and earn money when those products are bought. Others keep it vague, either because the details feel too complex or because they worry kids might not understand. But explaining can sometimes inspire curiosity and even teach them about online business from an early age. Do you think it is better to simplify the explanation or wait until children are old enough to understand? Could explaining too early cause confusion, or could it be a good way to show how different jobs exist today?

It's better to keep it simple and explain it in a way they can understand. Kids are naturally curious, and knowing about your work could inspire them. You don't need to go into all the details just something like, "I help people shop online," is enough for younger kids. It's also a chance to show them that there are many ways to work, even from home. Waiting might make it harder for them to connect with what you do, but explaining too much too early could confuse them, so balance is key.

To be real, I don't think there's any reason to hide it unless someone feels uncomfortable explaining online work. Affiliate marketing and content creation are normal careers now. I would suggest being open but practical, because kids can actually learn useful lessons from seeing how online businesses work. It may even inspire them to become creative or entrepreneurial in the future.
