Each freelancer has its own preference. There are some freelancers that love being in a competitive platform. They do believe that doing this will make it easier for them to make enough money. They try to add more skills to themselves for them to compete favorably and make enough money. Others don't like competing for anything. They just want to make money and therefore they don't see competition as what they want to go for.
