There is a common belief in freelancing that clients who come through a personal recommendation are easier, more trusting, and more willing to pay fairly. Some referral clients still bring problems, and some cold leads turn out to be excellent long-term clients. Have you noticed a real difference in how referral clients behave compared to those you reached through pitching?
