I've been thinking about starting a membership site, but I'm not sure if it's really worth it. I've seen some people say they make good money, while others claim it's hard to keep members paying over time. It seems like getting people to sign up might be easy, but keeping them engaged could be a challenge. Since I'm new to this, I don't know if membership sites tend to underperform or if they just require a lot of effort to make work.

Do membership sites usually struggle to succeed?
