I've been thinking about starting a membership site but I'm not sure if it's a reliable business model. I like the idea of recurring income. I wonder if people actually stick around or if they cancel after a month or two. It seems like a lot of work to create content, manage members, and keep them engaged month in month out. I don't want to invest time and effort into something that won't be sustainable in the long run.

Membership sites do work, but they only keep going when the content inside is genuinely useful every month. If members feel like they are getting real value, they stay. The moment updates slow down or the content feels lazy and repeated, people cancel. Keeping quality high every single month is what makes or breaks it.
