Ask Do freelance platforms have rules about the minimum price you can charge for a service?

Some platforms do set a minimum. On Fiverr for example, the lowest you could originally charge for a gig was five dollars, which is actually where the name came from. Other platforms leave pricing open but still have service fees that make very low prices almost pointless. If you charge too little, the platform takes its cut and you are left with almost nothing. Many experienced freelancers say that very low prices also attract difficult clients who do not value your work. I am curious about your experience here. Have you ever had trouble deciding what the lowest price you should charge really is?
