Most freelance platforms default to US dollars for all payments, and freelancers from other countries just deal with the conversion on their end. A few platforms have started adding support for other currencies, but it is still not common across the board. The challenge is that currency differences can affect how clients see your pricing, especially if the conversion makes your rate look higher than it is.
