Ask Do freelance platforms allow freelancers to set their own working hours?

One reason many people move into freelancing is the freedom to work at the time that suits them best, without being told when to clock in. But some clients expect freelancers to be available during their own business hours, and certain platforms seem to support that expectation. It raises the question of whether freelancers are truly independent workers or just remote employees by another name. The platform itself may not force any hours on you, but client expectations can create the same kind of pressure. Do you think freelance platforms do enough to protect a freelancer's right to choose their own working hours?
