Ask Do clients have the right to own a freelancer's working tools and templates after paying for the final deliverable?

Some clients seem to think that paying for a job means they are buying everything that went into producing it, including the templates, the systems, and the process behind the work. But most freelancers build those tools over years of experience, and they use them across multiple clients. Handing them over would be like a carpenter giving away his tools after finishing a table. Have you ever had a client push for more than what was originally agreed on delivery?

So far they come for you on a project whatever you deliver belongs to the client to be very honest. If you can make use of it you would have created it yourself and use it but they are the one that come for you to build it for them so you have to give them the right.
