If a freelancer is aiming at making use of artificial intelligence tools, it is always better to be honest and let the clients know. Hiding from them can mar the relationship. Despite telling them, there are some clients that will still not find anything wrong with it and still ask you to continue. But if you hide, and they know, they may not want to trust you any longer. Not every client will react the same way. Some will be fine with it, others will say no. But giving them the choice is the right thing to do. A freelancer who hides this kind of information is taking a risk that could damage their reputation badly if it comes out later.
