Ask Is short form content better for getting attention and long form better for building trust?

That is a fair way to look at it. Short videos and quick posts are easy to consume and more likely to get shared by people scrolling fast. But long form content, like a detailed article or a twenty minute video, gives you the space to explain things properly and show that you actually know your subject. People who sit through long content tend to trust the creator more because they invested time in what was being said. Do you think both formats are necessary or can one type of content do the job on its own?
 
I'd add that both formats usually work best together rather than one replacing the other. Short-form content is great for grabbing attention and bringing new people in, but it often lacks depth. Long-form content then helps convert that attention into trust by explaining ideas, answering questions, and showing expertise. In most cases, short content acts as the "hook," while long content does the "relationship building." Relying on only one format can limit growth, because you either get attention without trust or trust without enough reach.
 
I think that's generally true, but it isn't a strict rule. Short-form content is great for catching people's attention because it's quick and easy to consume. Once someone becomes interested, I use longer content to explain topics in more detail, answer questions, and build confidence in what I'm offering.
 
From my experience, short videos and posts are excellent for reaching new audiences, while long-form articles, emails, or videos help strengthen relationships. People often discover a brand through short content, but they usually need more detailed information before making a purchase or becoming loyal followers.
