For a new affiliate site, going for lower difficulty keywords can be a smart move. Still, it is also important to look at the search results yourself and see if smaller sites are ranking. Sometimes a keyword looks hard, but the results are not very strong. That is why checking both data and real results is helpful. How much attention do you give to difficulty scores?
