Recently I have been struggling to meet the deadline set by the project in freelance marketplace. Even the last project I did the client was complaining when I couldn't make the deadline after 2 days. I was reading about time management recently and I got to need about setting a buffer time before the deadline and I don't know how it works.

The question I have in mind to ask you guys concerning this is that Why must freelance experts set buffer time before deadlines? I will be looking forward to your response in the comment section thanks in advance.

Setting buffer time before deadlines is crucial for freelance experts for several reasons:

1. **Unforeseen Circumstances:** As a freelancer, you're likely juggling multiple projects, and unexpected issues may arise that can derail your progress. Setting buffer time allows you to account for any unforeseen circumstances such as technical difficulties, family emergencies, or illness that may impact your ability to meet the deadline.

2. **Quality Assurance:** Rushing to meet tight deadlines can compromise the quality of your work. By allocating buffer time, you give yourself the opportunity to review and revise your deliverables, ensuring that they meet the client's expectations and standards of quality.

3. **Client Communication:** Setting buffer time enables you to communicate more effectively with your clients. If you encounter any delays or obstacles during the project, having buffer time built into your schedule gives you the flexibility to update your clients on the progress and manage their expectations accordingly.

4. **Avoid Burnout:** Constantly working to meet tight deadlines without any buffer time can lead to burnout and diminish your creativity and productivity. Allowing yourself some breathing room by setting buffer time helps you maintain a healthier work-life balance and prevent burnout.

5. **Professionalism and Reliability:** Consistently meeting deadlines is essential for building a reputation as a reliable and professional freelancer. By setting buffer time, you demonstrate your commitment to delivering high-quality work on time, which can lead to repeat business and positive reviews from satisfied clients.

In essence, setting buffer time before deadlines is a proactive approach that helps freelance experts manage their time effectively, deliver high-quality work, communicate with clients more efficiently, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
