Business is not to be treated like charity. There may not be any need at all for business owners to be sharing products for customers. There are different other things that business owners can do in order to promote their businesses and products.

Startups usually have limited funds and need to be careful with every dollar. If you give too much away for free, you risk losing money before your business even gets off the ground. Plus, some people may only take the free stuff and never come back to actually buy anything. It can also lower the value of your product in people's eyes. Instead, offering small discounts or added value is a safer option.

Most customers may be coming with the hope of getting free products. And the moments they are not getting it, they may not come again. That's why it is not good to start with it since its sustainability is so thin and startup business owners may not cope.

Second, it might attract people who only want freebies, not long-term customers, which doesn't help build a loyal base. Third, constantly giving things away can unintentionally lower the perceived value of your product; people might start expecting discounts instead of paying full price. Instead, startups should focus on smart, targeted promotions like discounts, referral rewards, or limited-time offers that encourage real purchases.

A small business owner should be thinking on how to be firm first, and not how to be impressing. Doing this will make him not finding his bearing on time. There are different ways to attract customers without being father Christmas to the customers in the name of being nice.

When you keep giving away free products, customers start expecting everything for free and never want to pay full price. This creates a bad precedent because people will wait for your next giveaway instead of buying. Your business needs actual paying customers to survive, not just people who show up for freebies.

Giving away too many free products makes it hard to establish your real market value. Customers begin to question why they should pay full price when they see you constantly running free promotions. This creates a perception problem where your brand looks desperate or low quality.

A better strategy is offering small discounts to first-time buyers or creating bundles that encourage actual purchases. Building a business on free giveaways sets a dangerous precedent that becomes almost impossible to reverse later.

Running free promotions all the time sends the wrong message about your business. Customers might think your products are not selling or that something is wrong with them, which damages trust. Startups should focus on creating value and communicating that value effectively instead of trying to win people over with freebies.

This singular act has killed many businesses. Businesses are not to be run like a charity house. Even if a new business owner is hell-bent at rewarding the customers, he should do it using discount. This will be better than attracting people using give away tactics in my own opinion

I know when you start giving people free products, some of them may think that your products are substandard. In fact, others may think that you are selling fake and you are only doing that to make your products really sell well. They may even have high expectations about your products
