Ask Why does my domain redirection result in a blank page?

I have a domain name I used to use for a simple blog which still hosts about 4,000 unique visits a month. I decided to forward the domain to another blog (very similar in nature to the original blog) but after forwarding the domain name to the new site the domain leads me to a blank white page.

I've looked up answers and I keep reading something about the browser not supporting Java. I use chrome normally, so I decided to try it in IE8 which instead of a white page lead me to a page that said the website won't allow me to open in an iFrame.

I'm lost. I thought this was supposed to be a simple process.

I'm forwarding and masking the domain. Any clues to what might be the problem?

The issue is very likely caused by the iFrame restrictions on the destination site. Most modern websites prevent their pages from being embedded in another site, which is exactly what masked forwarding tries to do. That's why it works neither in Chrome nor correctly in older browsers. The "white page" is basically the browser blocking the content for safety. The simplest fix is to switch from masked forwarding to a standard unmasked 301 or 302 redirect, which will forward visitors properly without trying to hide the URL.
