Why does cold emailing never work for freelancers?

Cold emailing seems not working for freelancing any longer. These days, there are some companies that will not even check the mails from the freelancers, especially when they are not expecting any mails from them. However, that doesn't mean that freelancing doesn't still respect cold emailing. You only need to do it well to make it right. What do you think about this? Share it in the comment section.
