Ask Why do my social media followers not visit my website?

Many people scroll through social media quickly, so they often interact with your post without leaving the app. If the post already answers their question, they might see no reason to click. Sometimes the link is not clear enough, or people forget to check your bio. In other cases, the content on your website may feel different from the content they saw on social media, so they do not feel pushed to move forward. Sharing small reasons to click, like additional tips or a simple guide, can motivate them to visit. It also helps when the link is easy to find. How do you encourage your followers to take the next step? What do you think?

People who follow you on social media just don't click over to your website because there's not really a good reason to. Folks scroll super fast and want quick stuff, so if your posts don't give them a reason to check your site, they'll just keep swiping. Other times, your posts already give them what they wanted, so why bother? Even if your content is awesome, if you don't ask them to click or make it easy, they won't.

Most people on social media are just scrolling to kill time. They are not in the mood to click links and read writeups on another site. You have to give them a really good reason to leave the app the a're already comfortable in. Saying "link in bio" isn't enough anymore because everyone does that.

Your website might take too long to load or look bad on mobile. Most social media users are on their phones, so if your site is slow or hard to navigate on a small screen, they will just back out immediately.
You are right, I once clicked a link on social media and waited like 10 seconds for a page to load, then just gave up.
It's good to check how fast your site actually loads and whether it works properly on phones. That could be killing your traffic without you even realizing it.

How often are you actually asking people to visit? Because if you mention it once a week buried in a caption, nobody's seeing it. You need to bring it up more and make it feel natural. Share screenshots of what's on your site, talk about new blog posts or products multiple times, create some anticipation.

Social platforms don't want you sending people away, so they bury posts with links. Your reach probably drops whenever you add a website link because the algorithm sees it as you trying to take users off the platform. That's just how it works now.
