Ask Why do clients who have never done your type of work always underestimate how long it takes?

This comes up all the time. A client with no experience in your field will hear a deadline you give them and act surprised, as if the work should take half the time. They do not see the research, the planning, the revisions, and all the invisible steps that go into finishing something properly. It is not always bad intention on their part, it is just a gap in understanding. But it can still create pressure that makes the work harder than it needs to be. How do you explain timelines to clients who have no idea how much work actually goes into what you do?

They actually know they are just trying to pretend that the the service does not require much effort. One thing I can say is that you should never fall for the gimmick. You maintain your stands on the price you are giving out on the service you offer and if there is any additional effort you should charge extra for it
