Marketing is not one of those things we learn at the elementary schools. The majority of the people got exposed to marketing when they become adults. This makes it a bit hard for them to understand the marketing concepts when they come in contact with it. And some adults are lazy and they fail to acquire basic knowledge about marketing and advertising. Definitely when they attempt at either of the two , they will definitely get bad results and end up concluding that they are suck in marketing and advertising. Some people understand this basic concept but they don't have patient to practice it consistently so that they'll be able to know it inside out. I want other members to also contribute to this and tell us the reason why they think people sucks in marketing and advertising.

Most people totally mess up marketing their business because they don't realize how much work it actually takes. They jump in without a plan or knowing who they're even talking to. Instead of figuring out what people want, they just try to shove their product down everyone's throat. Plus, there are so many tools and social media platforms that it gets confusing and overwhelming, so they just give up or post randomly.

That's it. Majority of the business owners do not really carry out research before they start marketing their businesses. They choose both wrong platforms for marketing and as well wrong channels. Majority of them don't know how to convince their audience about the products they want to market.

Honestly, most people stink at marketing because they treat it like a side thing instead of part of the hustle. They think "if my product is good, people will just buy it". Lots of folks overthink posts, ads, emails, and then freak out about looking pushy, so they barely do anything. Then they never check what actually works and just keep guessing. Marketing isn't some secret sauce

They'll post random stuff, hope it "goes viral," then quit when nothing happens. A lot of them don't even clearly know who they're selling to or what problem they solve, so their message is kinda all over the place.

Some people are scared to actually sell, so they dance around it instead of just saying what they offer. Others keep chasing trends instead of building something consistent. And honestly, plenty don't even check what's working.

Good marketing is basically: know your audience, talk to them clearly, stay consistent, and adjust based on what actually gets results.
