Ask Which type of digital marketing cannot be done on the internet?

While trying to get the difference between internet and digital marketing, one may end up confusing himself. I have read it somewhere that digital marketing are not necessarily carried out on the internet. This is somehow confusing to say the least.

All these while, I have always believe that digital marketing only can be done except on the internet. Is there any form of digital marketing that can be carried out in other platform apart from the internet?

SMS marketing. is basically sending promo texts straight to people's phones. Since it uses regular mobile networks, it works even if someone doesn't have Wi-Fi or data. Kinda old-school, but still super useful! It's great for quick stuff like sales, reminders, or special deals. While it's not as flashy as Instagram ads or email campaigns, it still gets the job done—especially in areas where internet isn't reliable.

Not all digital marketing is internet-based. A good example is offline digital marketing, like SMS marketing, TV ads with digital screens, radio ads using digital signals, or digital billboards (DOOH). These use digital technology but don't always require the internet to reach people. So the key difference is internet marketing needs online platforms, while digital marketing just needs electronic devices or digital systems even without being online.

All forms of digital marketing require the use of digital technology, and most are carried out through the internet. However, there are a few types that do not need an internet connection. For example, marketing through SMS text messages, digital billboards, or Bluetooth promotions can work without people being online. So while they are still digital, they are not completely internet-based.
